Meditation Class ~ Yoga
Meditation is the process of quieting the mind in order to spend time in thought for relaxation or religious/spiritual purposes. The goal is to attain an inner state of awareness and intensify personal and spiritual growth. In practice, meditation involves concentrated focus on something such as a sound, image or feeling.
Anytime you can sit quietly and concentrate on your breathing, a mantra or an internal dristhi point like a Chakra colour or element that is meditation.
A lot of people think they can't meditate or are "not good" at meditating, the point of meditating is to simply concentrate on your breath and clear your mind, if thoughts appear simply return to the breath.
More and more the idea of meditation assisting in a happier more loving society is being discussed and trialed. There are a number of movements towards global peace through meditation, with the idea of adding peaceful and harmonious energies to each of us, our loved ones, our community and the world.
